Every Day in May (grand prize winner) ✔
***WINNER of the "BREATHTAKING: A FANTASY AND SCIENCE FICTION NOVEL WRITING COMPETITION!" "You are a secret kept from the world, but not from me." So begins the peculiar message found slipped under a bedroom door on the morning of May first. Theo is the heir to a powerful dictatorship. The number of people allowed to know he exists is few. He has spent his entire life walled up in the Tower, the looming stone monolith from which his father rules over the Land. Merryn is the daughter of political prisoners. She's known who Theo is longer than he would think possible, and she is taking a great risk contacting him via handwritten notes in order to convince him he deserves more than the fate his father has designed for him. She has one month to exchange daily messages with him, to answer his questions and open his eyes to the realities of a world he has never been allowed to see. A revolution is coming to the Land at the end of the month, and if Merryn's notes fail to get their point across, Theo may never live to see the sunrise on June first. A/N: The following letters were originally published each day from May 1st-31st, 2014. As you will see,Theo is allowed to write down a question for Merryn each evening, but you, the reader, won't see these within the body of the story. It may or may not be obvious from Merryn's response what Theo is asking. Part of the fun is guessing what his questions might be, but if you really want to know what they are, a list of those questions is at the end of the story. This story is a re-imagining of Rapunzel. Now, without further ado-I believe a young heir is about to unfold a slip of paper found on the tile floor near his door... Let's see what it says!Complete

The Truth Behind Rapunzel (Gothel)
No sooner have I stepped inside than someone speaks up, "Hand over your first born child, Gothel." I spin around to be faced with a mysterious pair of blue eyes and a wry smile. "Rumplestiltskin." I breathe, "I thought you went off to explore the world." "I did. Now I'm back. I will expect you to uphold your promise." He says, running a hand through his long, dark hair. "I made that promise when I was eight." I reply, thinking back. "I'm never going to get married and I'm never going to have children!" I declared decisively. "Really?" Rumplestiltskin inquired. "Yes. Boys are stupid." "Hey! That's not very nice." Rumplestiltskin whined, putting his hands on his hips. I stuck my tongue out. "Fine. Then if you are never going to get married, I suppose you won't mind agreeing to give me your first born child." He challenged. "Alright. Because it will NEVER happen!" "A promise is a promise." Rumplestiltskin says, "You must uphold your word." "For your information, this child isn't even mine." I respond. This takes Rumpelstiltskin by surprise. "She's not?" I explain what happened. "Well, she is a first born child, and now she's yours, so she IS your first born child." He decides.Complete

The Sleeping Alchemist
On their journey to figure out the mystery of the black rocks that have been plaguing the Kingdom of Corona lately, a group of friends find more mystery, old friends, and best of all, love. Join Rapunzel, Eugene, Cassandra, Pascal, Max, Lance, Varian, Ruddiger, and Altair as they end their adventure differently than you would expect. Hi! I'm Hope, and I'll by your narrator for this story. Now, I have no clue what happens, as my Dad has forbidden me from reading ahead as I am just as prone to give out spoilers as Tom Holland and Mark Ruffalo are. Couple of disclaimers, uh, everyone except Altair, Mia and the other characters in this story that you aren't familiar with if you've watched the show belong to Tangled: The Series. Basically, it's a really, really good spin-off of Rapunzel's time in Corona between Tangled, and Tangled Ever After. It involves plot-twists and astounding character development and a tremendous amount of heartache for a kid's show. Selina and I highly recommend it. Altair belongs to the amazing Tumblr user and artist @shima-draws. Selina asks of you to check her out, she's a-mazing. Every other character mentioned in this story belongs to Selina. That being said, let's just get into this! I wanna know what happens! P.S: The art Selina used for the cover was actually drawn by Shima, so again, please go and check her out!Complete
