In a dystopian kingdom where political marriages reign supreme, Princess Quinn Wright is faced with another potential suitor. But when her carriage is ambushed by mages, she finds herself stranded in Thalassia, the poorest prefecture in the land. With the help of a group of orphans, Quinn fights to improve the lives of those in the run-down area. However, her plans are derailed by Prince Alexander, her marriage candidate, who has his own sinister agenda. As riots and manipulation threaten to tear the kingdom apart, Quinn must navigate the pressure of responsibility and the complicated world of politics to protect the ones she loves. A gripping tale of love, power, and the fight for justice, this novella is a must-read for fans of dystopian fiction.

She's the first in line to become the next queen of Alumbridge, and be married to the Prince. Except, the Prince and her have had a falling out because of the secrets he's hidden from her. While they had originally fallen in love, Catherine can't tell if any of the actions or words of affirmation have been real. Four months later, the Academy is opening back up, and Catherine is as numb and emotional as she's ever been. As antagonistic forces loom in the distance, and Catherine's protest gets closer and closer to becoming an event, Catherine has to confront everything that she's come to know and believe so far. She has to confront both the past actions and past emotions that she's been putting off dealing with for the past few months. She has to figure out a way to work with the Prince, who she'd rather not see ever again, and deal with the revelations regarding him. But most of all, Catherine has to decide if she wants to continue on her current life path, or make a decision that will change the trajectory of her life forever.

In a world where Highborns control magic, the government, and the "lesser" species - Lowborns - there is much animosity between the two groups. So much, in fact, that a rebellion was formed to fight against the oppressive Highborns - the Phoenix People. Princess Alexia is a sheltered Highborn girl who thinks no further than the walls surrounding the palace grounds. When her brother, the king, shares his plans for completely exterminating the Lowborn race, however, Alexia's conscious keeps her from standing idly by while he follows through with his plans. Alexia joins the Phoneix People. Soon, she is dragged into a world of danger and magic, where she is not the revered princess she has been for sixteen years, where her handmaiden is a fierce warrior, where her laws mean nothing, and where betrayal is right around the corner. Nothing is as it seems. Nothing is as it should be. And it's up to Alexia to put things right. [Cover Credits to @LarissaChesser]
