Her diagnosis was acute which meant that she quickly became incapable of doing anything fun because the pain was too much for Abbey, her best friend, to handle. Four months after she was diagnosed she died in the hospital, two days after her birthday. Every year Ashlynn goes to Abbey's grave to visit her.
