For Nikki and Chloe, life is all about survival. Their love for each other has been "doomed" from the beginning, but they choose to draw strength from each other and the belief that things will get better with time. Things do get better, but not in the way Chloe and Nikki expect. A cheap fool's gold band is replaced with a large diamond in a matter of months, a shitty apartment turned safe haven is traded for a barage of swanky hotel suits, and contentment is eclipsed by jealously. As Chloe realizes just how important even the smallest details of her old life are to her and mourns the loss of that magical simplicity, Nikki welcomes his new and chaotic rockstar life with open arms. Feeling lost and betrayed, Chloe finds comfort in the soft hazel gaze and warm, tattooed embrace of Tommy Lee. What will happen when Nikki realizes that he's not only lost the love of his life, but realizes that his best friend has become the safe haven he once was to Chloe?

The year is 1992, it's been 9 years since Carly and Nikki have gone their separate ways. Through that time, Carly and Nikki's life has drastically changed. Nikki is married to Brandi Brandt since 1989, together they have a kid. Nikki kicked Vince out of the band and now has a new frontman, John Corabi. Nikki hasn't thought about Carly in years, he tried everything he could to block her out, drugs, alcohol, everything. But, after all the years of decadence; he's sober. Carly has been quietly still managing Motley Crue but has basically fallen off the face of the earth. She also has a career as a model. Carly was in the same boat as Nikki with trying to block him out. drugs and alcohol, but just like Nikki; she's now clean, as well. Both have moved on with their lives, they probably don't even really remember the other too well. Until one day, Carly gets a call from their other manager about the replacement and has to come back. She has to come face-to-face with her first love once again. Nikki has no knowledge of this, as far as he's concerned, Carly left. Never to return. What'll happen when he sees the first girl he ever fell in love with? Will this be Carly and Nikki's second chance? Or is it all for a lost cause?
