"How about you go out with me?" "How about no" "Seriously, I've been at this for a while now" Mide lamented. Tokunbo Ademide, hmmm everyone knows him as Tokunbo or just call him Ade but I prefer Mide, it cute, isn't it? Besides it rhymes with mine Iremide. Hello?? Mide questioned realising I zoned out. "What were you saying?" I asked "Well..." he started "Since you aren't going out with me, how about prom?" "What about Prom?" I interrupted, slowing down the wheels in my head and wondering if this is seriously happening, "Is Tokunbo Olabamiji Ademide about to ask me to prom?". "I want you to be my date to senior prom" I heard him say. "Oh, M G, it's happening" I said in my head calming my racing heart. I agreed to be his date and skipped to class, literally skipped. I just hope he doesn't think I'm too excited. What happens when Iremide bailed on Tokunbo on prom night and that too leaving him wondering what went wrong after their epic closure. Will they continue to be indifferent even when they meet ten years later at their high school reunion or address the elephant in the room. Why do their eyes speak volume while their mouth is kept shut? Will they be able to move on from their awkward past or pay the dumb game?

Scholar

[COMPLETED] [Warning: Strong language used throughout the book.] He put his hand over my notebook and the other over mine. I glared up at him, his golden brown eyes catching my attention. "I can't write like this," I pointed out. "Is this all you care about?" Ryan asked. I shrugged. "Not this specifically, but yeah, I care about my grades." Ryan smirked. I swallowed nervously but refused to break my stoic expression. He leaned closer to me, my heart pounding so hard against my chest it felt like it might break out and fall on the table between us. His mouth was right by my ear, and I could feel his warm breath when he spoke which sent shivers down my spine. "Well, aren't you a little a scholar?" *** The only things Alex Moris ever cared about were his grades and his sister. However, when the boy his sister likes, Ryan Smithe, makes things complicated and causes him to feel things he's never felt before, Alex realizes that, maybe, there's more important things in life than grades and scholarships.
