In a small town in England, Hugo Abrin has dealt with the consequences of something he didn't do. His parents and sister's death. He was only ten when it happened, but why blame an untended furnace or candle when you can blame a "monster".
He keeps to himself, even though no one wants to talk to him anyways. He doesn't have a friend in the world besides his little brother. And when a horrific event is blamed on him, he makes a run for it. While alone in a new town, he really thinks about himself in a new light, and he fights the battle between good and evil.
