First let me explain that Furnace, a prison for sadistic maniacs carved miles underground, always had one little bitty problem. Me. Why, you might ask? There has never been any record outside of Furnace that said a girl was ever held prisoner. Oh, but there was, just one. Alex kept me out of his story for my safety, and no matter what he says, once i got to know him, I never once thought of him as a bad kid. We held our breath as we heard footsteps enter the dark room. My heart raced and I covered my mouth to keep from screaming as tears ran down my cheeks.
