Dean's restaurant was modern, but homey. He had regulars; including Anna, a too polite redhead that was still in school. Then there was Pamela Burnes, a local florist with too much time on her hands. His favorite was a man named Rufus, who looked peculiarly out of place in the restaurant.
Dean was happy, to say the least. He was 25 with his own business, no matter how small, it was his. His life was smooth, easy.
Until he was out of his depth, with blue eyes deep enough to drown in and a smile that put the brightest stars to shame.
And Dean, well, Dean was hopelessly screwed.
