Love in Small Steps
Anshika, a shy and introverted dancer, has always hidden behind the shadows of her insecurities. Raised in an orthodox family and weighed down by past experiences, she struggles with self-doubt and the fear of being seen. In contrast, Kartikey, the confident and magnetic football captain, moves through life with a quiet assurance that commands attention. Their worlds couldn't be more different-yet fate keeps pulling them together. When Kartikey begins to notice Anshika, his persistent yet gentle nature unsettles her. He sees beyond her hesitations, recognizing the talent and strength she refuses to acknowledge in herself. But Anshika isn't ready to embrace his attention-her fears, amplified by the competitive pressures of college life, her family's expectations, and the prying eyes of others, hold her back. Despite this, Kartikey remains unwavering, patiently breaking down the walls she has built around her heart. Their journey is anything but a fairytale. It is messy, filled with misunderstandings, emotional confrontations, and moments of painful vulnerability. Anshika's self-doubt becomes a silent antagonist in their story, forcing her to question whether she is capable of love and being loved in return. As she battles her own demons, she slowly learns to extend the same compassion to herself that she so easily gives to others. Through intimate moments, shared triumphs, and difficult realizations, Anshika and Kartikey discover that love isn't just about grand gestures-it's about patience, trust, and the willingness to grow together. This book is a deeply emotional tale of self-discovery, healing, and the transformative power of connection. It's a story of two people finding not only love but also the courage to embrace their true selves.
