In the magical world of Oraelia, a handful of teenagers from all different backgrounds and breeds converge in the enormous, glamorous port city of Aursea. Brought by chance, or perhaps fate, into the upper tiers of Aursea's society, they find themselves tangled in a web of romance, friendship, danger, and magic. As the teenagers fall in love, forge friendships, and form rivalries, it becomes clear that many of them are not what they seem, and all of them are pawns on the chessboard of impending war threatening Oraelia's kingdoms. 
	Heroes and villains must emerge. Unrequited and forbidden loves must be pursued or forsaken. Friendships will be tested. All among the glittering scene of magic, ballrooms, and high society, where it's impossible to discern friend from foe from love.
