We follow these two high school students navigating a world filled with tension, unease, and quirks: supernatural abilities that have drastically reshaped society. Toshinori Yagi, despite lacking a quirk, is an idealist student driven by a belief that there needs to be change, so the world can be a better place. His best friend, Rimuru, is a silver-haired student with a sharp tongue yet a playful demeanor, a skeptic and a grounded presence to Toshinori's lofty ambitions, but he supports his goal nonetheless.
Amid the mundane rituals of the school life of shared lunches, teasing, and post-class cleanups,the pair often find themselves pondering about the state of the world and it's fragile peace, and their bond reveals an undercurrent of mutual support and understanding no matter what.
Yet as the story unfolds, the world outside the walls of their little world grows increasingly unstable. Conflicts sparked by the misuse of quirks threaten the fragile peace, and these two are faced with the challenge of carving out hope and purpose in a world teetering on chaos!
