Life for teenagers is simple so they say. The best years of your life. It's all fun and games, being an adult is so much harder you would never survive alone. Well, that's from an adult's perspective. They have not lived the life Athena "Apple" Thatcher did, she went through more than any adult could ever handle. She's only 15 and she's already dealt with more than those 6 feet under.

In Love With Blindfolds On
I gave the best of myself to someone who didn't have anything to lose. I didn't know how to avoid my lover's toxic and abusive flames. My lover's twisted words were like a maze inside of my head that I couldn't escape. Sadly, my lover's actions hypnotized my thoughts and paralyzed my thinking. There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him.
