Sara Edwards lives in Lake City, Georgia in her lake house with her mother Alice and her father Joseph. When Sara sets out one day to explore the other side of the lake which is an enormous forest. Nobody has ever dared to explore the area because of myths told about what lurks behind the trees of the forest. Sara soon discovers what is lurking behind all of this shrub... But the question is, will she make it out of this forest of magic and dread?

Ernwood Forest is home to people living hidden from the prying eyes of humans; the Winged and their tribes. These people stand no taller than a few centimetres off the ground, meaning that things can sometimes get a little difficult... especially when humans are involved. But life isn't all bad. For the first time ever, Azure and the tribes have a human of their own protecting them from the sinister forces beyond the edge of the trees. As the months of winter roll in, nights are growing longer and snow has settled on the leafless branches. The forest is still.
