It felt so ironic, that in a place such as this her name was Hope. She had the widest smile, a mouth full of teeth too big, they were overlapping,with the two front buck teeth, but she always showed them when she had a chance. The smile would be waiting for me whenever I entered our classroom, at least that's what I thought, that she was eagerly awaiting my arrival every morning, even though I saw her direct it at anything. Why was she like this? In a place such as this, hopeless and dejected. Wretched and gloomy. A place where humans were no longer free. Cursed to be slaves to an extraterrestrial civilization. No different from farm animals, mindlessly following orders and terminated and the first sign of any sort of disturbance to regime. She smiled.
