Mary Ann was dealt some pretty terrible cards in her life. The biggest one being that she's no idea what she is or where she came from. What she does know is that whatever people think she is makes them covet her. Makes her worth a lot of money. 

In and out of captivity for most of her life, she's seen her fair share of humans. The way they can act. How terrible they can be. It keeps her from truly trusting anyone.

Sebastian and Ciel had been sent to investigate a Black Market operation in London's underground. Her majesty had informed her Guard Dog that rumor had it there was something not entirely human there and they needed to know if it was a threat or not. Ciel had his own plans as well, to free all the people being held captive and have Sebastian 'handle' the scum that ran the auctions.

My ears flatten to my head, the cold starting to get to me, but it has been two days since I have eaten, and I am starving. Come on Mary, pull yourself together. Just...just look a little longer. Being six inches tall is a bother sometimes, more like all the time really. But, it helps to stay hidden from those greedy humans. Curling my black tail around me, I look just a little more before finding a bit of old fish. It smells so disgusting, but it's better than not eating at all. I hop off the bin and sit on the ground.
