Luke Castellan sneers, it seems like that is all he ever does these days, but Annabeth hopes that it is still not too late for him. She can still see flashes of the kind boy who used to hold her hand and drive the monster away, even though that boy is now buried deep inside.
"Luke, please, calm down.." he does not listen.
It seems like all his anger and bitterness is being projected to the silver fading glow of the goddess in chains, who bears the weight of the sky for her.
"I am going to kill your son," he promises, his words laced with malice, "and you are going to see how easy it is to take the life of a demigod." Annabeth wonders where the ever unfazed and cold hearted goddess was, for this horror-stricken being with frantic eyes was not the Artemis she had encountered.
And Luke seems to be hitting the nail in the coffin as he lowly says," After all, Artemis do not care much for the lives of male demigods, does she?"
