Having a genie is always complicated. Bringing him to school makes everything worse.

Nothing ever seems to go Megan's way; she doesn't have that many friends, she's late for everything, and she's barely passing her classes. It seems like she's doing everything she can just to stay in the middle of the pack. So after scraping together all the couch-cushion money she could find, she decides to run away.

Sitting at the bus stop late one night, Megan comes across an old bottle someone threw away. With nothing else to do, she decides to take a closer look. When she opens it, a kid her own age appears, ready to grant her whatever she wants. So, she wishes to be popular - what could go wrong?

As Megan's life takes a drastic turn for the better, she gets a little cocky. After a failed bet with the genie, she agrees to let him come to school. Before she knows it, he's worming his way into every part of her life: he's in all her classes, friends with her brother, and getting invites to hang out with her friends. But once she starts spending time with him, Megan finds she has a new problem. Despite her best efforts, she's starting to see him as something more than just her personal wish-granter; he's almost a friend. But can she trust him?

Long ago, in the ancient kingdom of Surasena, lived two. A young princess by the name of Ananya, and a commoner whom was called Imaran. There lived also an evil sorcerer by the name of Balveer, an advisor to the Sultan. This is their story, a classic retelling of the fairy tale Aladdin. Jinn is the more proper term for genie. It can also be spelled djinn which is the Romanized version. I chose to go with the more traditional version. Cover by my dear friend who did it for me. Their art skills are absolutely impeccable! A message to all my readers: This story has many characters that are ignorant, bigoted and downright cruel to our main character. I wanted to have everyone understand that these actions are extreme examples of homophobia, and that, generally, it is far more subtle. For those that are closeted and are afraid to come out, I am here for you and I am sorry you live in an environment where you can't safely be yourself. Know that my heart is with you. If you need someone to talk to, here is a number to consider: 1-866-488-7386. This is the number for The Trevor Project, a group dedicated to helping young LGBTQ+ people. If there are people in your life who support you and you can trust, seek help. For my straight cisgender folk, please be an ally to your LGBTQ+ friends and family. Their love and gender is as valid as anyone else. In their time of need, be there for them and support them. Please enjoy my story and have a wonderful life.

A thousand years have passed in what can only be described as a routine, unvarying mundane existence for her. Valor, an esteemed academic specializing in Egyptian and greek mythology, faces derision from his colleagues despite the immense popularity of his course at a prestigious historically black HSBU college. The envy of his tenured counterparts is palpable as Valor manages to attract a wave of students to a college that was on the brink of closure just half a year earlier. Yet, with full enrollment in all classes, both physical and online, a puzzling question lingers. The truth unveils a deep-seated disdain among some history professors towards Valor, stemming from his racial background and his belief in the reality of Egyptian deities, subjecting him to scorn within his academic circle. On a rainy day, Valor acquires a weathered jar at an estate sale embellished with ancient Egyptian symbols containing shimmering black sand. Intrigued by the enigmatic inscriptions adorning the jar, he brings it home for further examination and research. The paths of Cassie and Valor intersect, plunging them into a treacherous ordeal initiated by another jinn harboring a sinister diabolical past that he holds onto tightly. Will Cassie and Valor emerge unscathed, forming an unbreakable bond as master and jinn while unwrapping the devious binds holding her arch nemesis' secret? Melissa Crawford thinks she's just a regular teenage girl. She goes to school. She has friends, boy problems, homework...you know, the typical teenage angst. But she couldn't be more wrong, for Melissa Crawford is not a mortal. Her adoptive mortal mother refused to give her up and hired a witch to erase the enchanting Faery child's memory, not realizing that things aren't that simple. You see, when she was a little girl, Melissa promised herself forever to her Leannan Sidhe (mate), a Fae Prince, and a promise to Fae is sacred. When the Fae Prince comes back to claim what's his, nothing will get in his way. "Mortals are so arrogant. So utterly narcissistic to think that they are the only intelligence in this world, to believe their realm is the only realm, their way is the only way. "Many of you believe us fairies only exist in little kids' fairy tales. We are so much more than that. We exist, living in the Realm just a blink away from yours. A few wrong turns in the park or the forest and you're there. We sometimes walk among you, and you're not even aware of it. Believe me, we exist. Across the globe, your kind calls us and our realm by different names...but as William Shakespeare once said- a rose by any other name..."
