The sudden murder of 18-year-old Jang Wonyoung in the quaint village of Yangdong heralds the start of what seems to be a vicious epidemic that transforms the scorching summer into an oasis of blood and dread.

A young physician by the name of Lee Dohyun starts to have doubts about the cause of the illness and realizes that in order to find the truth, he has to give up on his humanity.
