So dim that spotlight, tell me things like, "I can't take my eyes off of you." I'm no one special just another wide eyed girl, who's desperately in love with you.

This is an extremely accurate description of April Winters. Her feelings towards a certain someone have been dwindling, as her feelings for another certain someone have been growing. She's on tour with Hunter Hayes, replacing Sam Ellis who recently left the band. Things are going great, until the guys and Hunter begin to realize that, as April says, "people come with baggage."

April comes with more baggage than most. Hunter is intrigued by her bubbly personality, and her ability to write songs. April can feel that she's falling for him, but her boyfriend back home keeps her from admitting her feelings, even to herself.

And as the tour begins to grow more and more busy, affections grow, and feelings get hurt.

Will April joining the band prove to be destructive for everyone?

Then it hit me. The scent of my mate. The one I'd love and spend the rest of my days with. "Mine," he growled. I was forced up against the wall as he began to kiss me roughly. I managed to take a peek at my mate. The school's very own player. Otherwise known as the guy who infuriates me to the depths of hell. I shoved him off me and made him look me in the eye, "I don't care if you're going to be Alpha. You will always be the jerk I hate and the player I despise. I will not be looked upon as another of your minions. Yeah, I just rejected you." I snarled. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Shayla Hale is just another 15 year old werewolf, eagerly waiting for her 16th birthday so she can find her mate. She wasn't popular, and she wasn't a loner. Following her around, was the school's player, with a hobby of annoying her. She hated him for taking so much interest in her, since she knew all he was is a disappointment. Chase Anderson is the school's player, and the guy every girl swoons for. He's always found Shayla interesting, since she wasn't like the others. Witty comebacks, never sparing him a second glance. Being the hard to resist, soon to be Alpha of his Dark Wolfe pack, he needs to find his Luna. What he wasn't prepared for was his very own mate rejecting him. Will Shayla stay true to her word? Will Chase prove his mate wrong? What happens when Chase goes back to his player ways? How about when Shayla's childhood lover returns? *** I wrote this when I was 12/13 and it was the first romance/teen-fic/werewolf story I ever wrote at the time. Please go easy on my 12/13 year old self 😬

Invisible, Leah just wants to stay that way, the girl in the greenhouse who never asks for attention. Life has never been easy for her and for once she would just like to catch a break. Meeting Hunter Hayes makes both easy and invisible quite impossible though, as Leah soon finds out. Will Leah let Hunter in on her dark and secret past or will Hunter be left out in the cold? What's more, will the beautiful shop assistant Tori manage to steal Hunter's heart before he or Leah realize if they truly have something? Sometimes you just have to ask yourself, is it better to see or be seen? ------- "Why didn't you tell me?" I jump, Hunter is in the dark corner of the room, leaning against the wall. "Because I don't tell anyone." "I would've understood." His words reach me and then I can't see through my tear-filled eyes. I close them and shake my head. "No you wouldn't, you can't. I still don't." I hear his feet shuffle, I'm scared he's going to come over to me. I put my head in my hands. "Well, if you ever need to talk, if you need anything... I'm here. That's what friends are for." "Thanks but I'll be okay." I push out in the most normal voice I can manage. I'm broken, can't he see that? Why does he want to be friends with a broken girl? I hear him leave and I take my hands away from my face, staring at the closed door. 'Friends.' I think, that's how Jacob and I started. But look how that turned out. A/N: this book deals with serious topics such as PTSD, trauma, and abuse. If you would like to do more research on these topics to understand Leah I encourage you to do so. Her inner mind is a mess for the reason that her life experiences are weighing her down. It's never shameful to get help if you find yourself in any kind of similar situation. It isn't always easy to accept help, but if someone offers or you need to ask take the help. You deserve to piece yourself back together again.
