I wasn't thrilled by this but the idea wasn't too bad. The moment I caught sight of her sitting on a bench, I had to convince myself at great lengths to walk over to her. As I drew closer, I could see her immersed in a book, the sounds of music streaming from her earphones. I took a deep breath, trying to muster up the courage to speak to her about my proposal. In my mind, I rehearsed the words I wanted to say to her, hoping to come across as confident and convincing. "Okay, Owen, it is just like how you practiced yesterday. Ask her if she is willing, if she's not, which she definitely won't, negotiate," I reminded myself. My heart skipped a beat the moment I was a meter away. I was contemplating on reaching out to grab her attention. What if I ended up embarrassing myself the third time? What if she outright rejects the offer?

#99 Romance [20/12/2016] An independent woman proposes an open marriage to her deceased brother's best friend to help pay his company's debt with the money her brother left her in his will as a 'wedding gift'. * * * * * * * * "Let me help you, Owen." Alice swivelled on the desktop to be sitting facing him directly. "We can get married right now, get the money and file for divorce the next second." She was nearly leaving him no choice. But then again, his concern wasn't fully about the money. "And... and what about us?", he inquired in a low voice. "What about us?", Alice told him innocently. He grabbed the forearm she rested her weight on the table and shocked her by pulling her down onto his lap. Their face came inches apart. Her bosom touched his chest. Her hands instinctively set on his hard chest. A gasp escaped her mouth at the surprisingly electrifying contact of their bodies. He felt that too. For a second, his eyes wandered to her lips. Then he shocked her with his next words. "If I marry you, I can't divorce you."
