My friends and I have been best friends since the beginning. We've been there together through, preschool, elementary school and middle school and now we're off to high school. But of course, just like in the movies, there are cliques. First you have the jocks, the nerds, the cheerleaders, the band-geeks, the wannabes, the drama-freaks, the "princesses"...and us.
Everyone in high school is either trying to find love, become popular, pass their grade, lose their virginity, become homecoming queen, or find out who they are and what they want to do in life.
But we don't want to become popular or fall in love, okay well maybe I want to fall in love but the point is, we just want to survive the year. You know, we want to just be able to get through it and say "We did it!"
But it's not going to be that easy and we know that. There's probably going to be a lot of heartbreaks, loss, breakups, bad grades, lies, secrets, happiness, new jobs, joy, homecoming, traveling, new boyfriends, new girlfriends, new friends, new traditions, first kisses, first-everythings, and... our first high-school sleepover.
We're all going to do a good amount of struggling this year. But at least we'll be able to struggle together because that's what best friends do.
Like I said, we just want to blend in with the crowd and get through the year.
But why blend in, when you can stand out?
WATTPAD BOOKS EDITION.
Love is a chemical reaction.
When Jordan Hughes arrives at Pinecrest High School, Elliot Goldman's graduating year suddenly gets a lot more interesting. Smart, good looking and charming, Jordan isn't exactly the kind of person Elliot's used to having as a lab partner. But when they start acing their assignments, life is suddenly about more than boring lectures, bad cafeteria nachos, or relentless bullying, and for the first time ever, Elliot can't wait to get to chemistry class.
As they start spending more time together outside of school, Elliot realizes he's never met anyone quite like Jordan. And then everything changes one night when Jordan kisses him, making Elliot question everything about their relationship and about himself. The butterflies start to make sense-the trouble is, right now, nothing else does.
Love was the last thing on Elliot's mind. But as he begins to figure out how he really feels about Jordan, he realizes that sometimes the last thing you are looking for is the one thing you need the most.
