A young woman, who dishonours her family in shame, is determined to set things right. Once the Huns are invading China, every man from each family in the province must join the imperial army. Already gravely wounded from the last war, which has impacted greatly on his life. Mulans father must join the army once again to serve the emperor. Horrified to let her father go, mulan takes his place. Having excelled in military training, and sabotaged the Hun army. Mulan is severely injured by Shan yu. Her secret exposed, she now reflects on the mistakes she made in her past. If she just acted like a normal girl.....but she sees something beyond her mistakes, a true answer calling.

"NEXT!" Called the man sitting at the registration table. Looks like thats me... "Name." He drawled. "Uh~" Oh no..that voice was'nt going to fool anyone. I cleared my throat. "Uh....Ping." Yeah, that deep voice was much more convincing. The man shot me an annoyed look. "Ping...what?" He growled. Well geez. Don't blame me if you don't like your own job. "Excuse me!" He screamed. Oh shoot, did I say that out loud? "Fa...my name is Fa Ping." He continued to stare me down. "Any relation to Fa Zhou?" "Thats my Pop." I smiled slightly. He returned my friendly gesture with a scowl. "Your dad was a great warrior...you must be whats left." He handed me a ticket. "Your in tent 133, with Yao, Poe, and Li. Now get out of my line! Editing in Progress Excerpt: As Shang watched, a small dark head shot out of the water downstream of the searching men but not quite as far downstream as the horse. Relief shot through Shang. Then the horse screamed in panic and Shang saw Ping turn in the water and take off after the horse. The boy would reach the frantic animal before anyone else! With a curse, he took off down the shoreline. He watched helplessly as Ping reached the horse and began to cut the creature free of its confines with a knife he had somehow managed to hang on to in the river. He saw when the horse finally came free, reared up in the water and then came back down...directly on top of Ping! With an inarticulate shout of fear, Shang threw himself into the river and swam out to where he had seen Ping disappear under the horse. The other men had caught up, then, and were working to calm the frantic animal and get it to shallower, calmer waters. The wagon and all the supplies it carried were lost to the river. Shang dove beneath the surface and began to search frantically in the dark, churning water for any sign of Ping. Description: What would happen if Shang found out that Mulan was a girl before the battle in the mountains? Would he follow the law and reveal her for who she truly is or would he allow her to continue her training as a soldier and hope that she makes it through the war alive and undiscovered?
