Maia is a newly discovered "muggle-born" witch who, after an unexpected outburst of Ancient Magic left her an orphan, was sent to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in order to hone and control her newfound power. She was a force to be reckoned with in her introductory year at Hogwarts, changing the course of history for better or worse.
