Maia is a newly discovered "muggle-born" witch who, after an unexpected outburst of Ancient Magic left her an orphan, was sent to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in order to hone and control her newfound power. She was a force to be reckoned with in her introductory year at Hogwarts, changing the course of history for better or worse. But after an unexpected mess of hidden family ties is resurfaced, she is whisked away to live with her new pure-blood family. The summer after fifth year in 1890 was the turning point in a legacy. Now Maia is back at school for her sixth year. Much has happened, and she has changed.
