"I... kinda didn't," you admit, looking at your bowl instead of your classmate. He asks no follow-up questions, waiting for you to come to him. Curse you, caring fiancé. "I wanted to be, like, a doctor, or something, but my parents wanted me to be a hero, so... here I... am."
