SUPERMAN has his hands full. First, he encounters his cousin, SUPERGIRL, a reckless teenager with powers like his own. Then he confronts a creature known as PARASITE, who can absorb SUPERMAN'S strength and super-speed just by touching him. SUPERMAN knows enough to not shake hands with the deadly fiend, but SUPERGIRL is still learning the ropes. Filled with her power, the PARASITE now battles the MAN OF STEEL in a fight that rocks the planet. How can SUPERMAN defeat a villain who gets more powerful with each punch?

Heroes at Heart
"I've tried telling them I'm only fifteen. That no sane government would force a boy my age to fight crime. 'But Max, you're a superhero! Isn't this what you want?' Actually, no. I just kind of want to get through high school. Then we'll talk about this 'superhero' business." Max Owens is your average high school sophomore. Well, he tries to be, at least. At fifteen, he's got more important things to do than fight the infamous Vinicus Cauldwell. With his single mother having recently lost her job, Max is determined to help his family get back up on its feet. The publicity and pressure that comes with being a superhero would be too much to handle right now. But it's hard to fly under the radar, when you can literally fly. Meanwhile, Vinicus Cauldwell enjoys the power he has as Murkbourne's most feared super-villain. For once, he can sit back and relax without being pestered by the police. That is, until Max arrives. Vinicus isn't happy about having to fight a child, but he can't let Max find out. After all, super-villains can't be "good people"... Can they? We can't all be born heroes. Forty years ago, the world ended at the hands of the Monarch of the Abyss, such a being spread it's accursed powers across the world and brought humanity to the brink of extinction. Even a world filled with super powers stood no chance, all hope was not lost however, a light shone brightly as the world's end drew near, slaying this fiend... for now... Even after the death of the Monarch of the Abyss the world is far from stable or safe, what remains of humanity lives inside a singular city, protected by a handful of sworn heroes, monsters lurk outside, remnants of that awful day. Forty years later a new hero appears, bearing a scarily familiar power, he'll endure many burdens in a bid to learn more about himself and those he works with in this corrupt society where heroes are revered as gods among men and all logic is replaced with propaganda. A threat from within their own walls threatens to tear humanity apart from the shadows, the heroes will need to overcome both the monsters beyond their walls and threats from their own people in order to prevail, humanity's fate will soon be at hand, will it be salvation or oblivion?
