Monica Bonet is tired of lies. Her go to expression is I hate the smell of mendacity or just mendacity from Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. She has liar radar that hasn't failed her in twenty years and she wondered everyday what is so wrong with telling the truth. Not even her family can be counted on and that leads to a big blow up leaving her feeling alienated from everyone except her two younger siblings who end up coming to stay with her. Now she is juggling work, school, and raising her siblings and is slowly feeling like she may drown even though she is on solid ground. So when she meets Zander Thompkins who is all about being truthful will he be a breath of fresh air or too much of a good thing?
