*This is a writing prompt response written for practice. Feedback welcome.*

[Please note: Format of this writing response is in the style of a pseudo obituary. The author (me) was experimenting with a different style.]

Writing prompt: Constrained writing response of 100-300 words to following story starter:

"Night fell over the Antarctic glaciers and thousands of feet waddled forward to the edge of a precipice of ice and snow.

An army of penguins stood and watched as the first contestants lined up at the start of the track. It was a grueling race, filled with hairpin turns, steep drops, and some dangerous jumps over ramps carved into the ice. Only the bravest penguins competed in the races.

At the same time, explorer and scientist Ingrid Belousci climbed out of her makeshift shelter to observe the unique behavior of the penguins. She had heard them assemble and noticed a difference in their usual sounds.

She would inadvertently become the first human to ever see the spectacle. But things changed when she was spotted. ///from user throwthisoneintrash"

Reader discretion is advised. *****This has been edited from the original story (Previously Auras) ***** Aurora was a normal college student working towards a business degree until she went to a party that changed her life. Everyone she knew and cared about was murdered in a twisted idea of fun, she was the only survivor. Quickly dumped into a world of supernatural Aurora must find her place despite the fact a possessive werewolf seems to want to tell her what to do. Can she adjust or will she crumble under the pressure? Excerpt: The screams and cries for help faded while silent tears continued to stream down her face. Her hands were slapped over her mouth to muffle any noise that escaped her quivering lips. She wasn't sure how long she was in that pantry but couldn't come out until she was beyond certain that they had left. For a moment, she started to have hope that maybe they wouldn't be able to find her, but a voice spoke up, and fear flooded in once again. "You cleared out the upstairs, too, right?" "Yeah." Another voice responded. There was a slight pause, "Hmm. Then where is that heartbeat coming from, I wonder." His voice had a sickening amusement to it, and her heart rate uncontrollably spiked with the adrenaline pumped through her veins. Was he talking about her? The thought that he could hear her heartbeat was crazy. It just wasn't humanly possible. Footsteps grew closer to the kitchen. Somehow, they had found her. She said one last prayer and goodbye to her life as the pantry opened. "Boo." The man yelled, peering in at her. She was frozen. There was nothing more she could do. She was going to die. "Little Birdy," he stretched out his hand, "come out to play."

It has been 5 years since my beautiful Tris passed away. She told me to move on, but all of this time I have been grieving. I didn't think I could love anyone as much as I loved Tris ever again. But I was wrong. I believed that lie up until now. I walk into the adoption center, and a little baby girl catches my eye. I pick her up in my arms. She has blue eyes that are the color of the sky and brunette hair with natural blond highlights. I walk up to the lady at the front desk and say " I'd like to adopt her." She slightly looks up at the baby, but keeps her head down. " okay, what would you like to name her?" Her voice is gentle, but strong. I respond immediately. "Beatrice, her name will be Beatrice." The woman looks up and I can see her face. She has beautiful grey-blue eyes. And then I notice a small scar on the left side of her cheek. "Tobias?" Tris is alive, but when she trains the initiates with Four will they be safe? Expect drama. This is a sequel to Met in Abnegation.
