The story is set in the modern day of Tokyo, which is haunted by mysterious humanoid creatures called "ghouls" who are devouring humans. The almighty creature known as Majin Buu has terrorised the universe for billions of years. He doesn't seem much on the first look but he has quenchless hunger for destruction.
