Blurb
The Blackwood family would appear, to the unknowing outsider, your average family. Almost perfect. Mum, dad, three children. Multiple caring, present uncles, aunts and cousins. However, look a bit closer and you might notice the middle child, Emilie, doesn't speak. The family don't really think about it much anymore though - she hasn't spoken since she was five. At first the family were terribly worried, with uncountable visits to doctors and therapists. But, with time, it became the new normal to the family. Everyone loves her for who she is, and although her older sister Sophia and her best friend Leo often wonder why, they still laugh and joke and often forget.
Life isn't always easy for Emilie, especially in school, but she still enjoys it.
However, a ten year long silence is sure to end at some point. Isn't it? And if it were to end, why? And why on earth did it start?
