A Light's Shadow

Oliver is a supernatural detective known for his ability to solve complex cases with paranormal twists. Despite not having worked on a case for almost a week, Oliver's peace is disrupted by the news of recent disappearances in town. After overhearing some regulars discussing the disappearances and mentioning the Sinister Woods, Oliver becomes curious about the eerie forest and heads there to investigate. Upon returning to his office, he finds a letter with a request from a "friend" who is willing to share information about the disappearances in exchange for Oliver's help in locating a valuable black gem in the Sinister Woods. Despite suspecting that it could be a trap, Oliver decides to venture into the woods. While searching for the gem, Oliver senses that someone or something is watching him, and he hears a voice behind him. Despite his experience as a supernatural detective, Oliver's unease grows, leaving him to wonder if he has walked into a trap.
