Deception. Deceit. DUPLICITY.

- Duplicity: the act of being deceitful in speech or conduct -

I never knew life outside of the facility - we were never allowed beyond the same four walls. Trapped like dogs and used like weapons. I've known nothing different. Each day we wake up and survive. Each day we train and we fight. Each day the cycle repeats. It repeats. It repeats. It repea- conformity. WE know nothing different.

Pantoran was a conformed city - run by the toran government. Everyone had their own responsibilities given to them to help the only surviving city of E-158 thrive. Failure to conform and carry out those given tasks resulted in being exiled beyond the walls. Sentenced to an early death depending if you could survive beyond Pantoran. It is said most never - yet for the lucky ones who do... they will wish they are dead.

Us. We live in a facility in Pantoran. A facility called MSRFB. It is where we learn, train and serve our duties to help Pantoran thrive. It is where we... conform.

❝Who are you? Who 𝘢𝘮 I?❞ ✑✑✑✑ All tributes know when and how they get in the Arena. The Victor, however, never knows when or how they get out. Not until Claudius Templesmith announces their name and district to the entire nation. Once the tribute becomes a victor, they're taken out of the Arena. Only to eventually realise they never truly escaped. The nightmares, the cameras, the deals, nothing ever lets them forget. Their entire lives, they're reminded of what they did. The mask of luxury that covers their sleepless nights and destructive thoughts, is kept in place by the finest glue known to President Snow; a bit of hope mixed in the bowl of darkness and fear. There's but one problem with that mask. For it to work, the victor must have two essential things; haunting vivid memories and loved ones they would trade their lives to protect. One without the other is to no use. So when Olive Navin Cresta survives the 69th Hunger Games with no recollection of her time in the Arena, the mask gets destroyed before it's even placed. Please, don't forget, the odds are never in our favour. ✑✑✑✑✑✑✑✑✑ 𝕒𝕞𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕚𝕒𝕔 /𝕒𝕞ˈ𝕟𝕚ː𝕫ɪ𝕒𝕜/ 𝕟𝕠𝕦𝕟, '𝕒 𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕠𝕟 𝕖𝕩𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕔𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕒 𝕡𝕒𝕣𝕥𝕚𝕒𝕝 𝕠𝕣 𝕥𝕠𝕥𝕒𝕝 𝕝𝕠𝕤𝕤 𝕠𝕗 𝕞𝕖𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕪.' ✑✑✑✑✑✑✑✑✑ I DO NOT OWN THE HUNGER GAMES I only own my OC and part of her family. My representation of the 69th Hunger Games, a few side characters that aren't mentioned in the book, and their backstory. The book is based off The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. You're in your senior year at the Academy when Doctor Gaul decides alongside her gamemakers that the mentorship program should be reinstated. You're tasked with making the Capitol fall in love with your tribute during the 15th Annual Hunger Games. After your tribute claims victory, as well as captures the hearts of the Capitol and your own, Professor Gaul calls you into her office. She's seen your promise as a student and invites you to take on an internship underneath her. The catch is you just work closely with Coriolanus Snow, one of her newest apprentice gamemakers. Something about him upon first glance forms a deep pit inside your stomach; there's something off about that man. While the intention to put you alongside him was to help advance your studies, it's clear he has something else in mind. He wasn't lying when he said, "I'll teach you everything." Set 5 years after the events in "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes." Story is for mature audiences only. *WARNING: SMUT* *WARNING: Coriolanus Snow is a manipulative man!* DISCLAIMER: I do not own these characters, outside of OC's, nor anything to do with the Hunger Games universe. I will try my best to follow the original plot but there's a lot of gaps that need to be filled.
