Your name is soleil Vernes, your mother gave you your fathers last name, the only thing that really connects you to him. In a post apocalyptic world you live in a small town called Jackson. Your mum, Maria, had helped built the community and basically ran the place. After she met tommy they immediately fell in love, you loved seeing your mum this happy. Tommy always told you about his brother and how he used to be a firefly. 4 years later Tommy's brother Joel comes to live in Jackson with a girl your age. You too became the best of friends, you comforted her when her girlfriend broke up with her and she comforts you whenever your boyfriend Logan and you get in a fight. After a fight with Logan you and Ellie went to the winter barn dance together and that's when Ellie realized she might feel different about you.
