Miles Quaritch failed his first mission to kill Jake Sully. Now, Bridgehead Command has a new mission for him and his surviving recoms, Wainfleet and Mansk. A mission to gather intel and make an alliance with the newly contacted Ash People, a Na'vi clan endemic to a volcanic archipelago. What's at first just orders will slowly come to change the young Colonel's life and his relationship with Pandora, his son, his enemies, and the RDA forever.
Part 1 in the Avatar, A New Mission series.
This large, slow-build story is essentially an Avatar 3 (with heat and flare!) through Miles Quaritch's eyes after the events of the Way of Water and continuing his parallels with Jake Sully. The story really expands to a movie-sized scope as it goes on. Features Miles' existential crisis and also flashbacks to when Spider was with the 1st Recom Unit. Recoms Lyle Wainfleet and Mansk are also greatly developed. Did my best to be logical and reasonable with the in-movies set canon, and sequel foreshadowing. There are a *few* instances of eventual smut, but there are content warnings and it is kindly written to be skippable if that's not your thing! : )

Jake Sully and Ney'tiri have formed a family and are doing everything to stay together. However, they must leave their home and explore the regions of Pandora. When an ancient threat resurfaces, Jake must fight a difficult war against the humans. In the beginning of that special night between Jake and Ney'tiri. After a few months, Ney'tiri finds out she was pregnant, she decided to not tell her clan till the war between the Na'vi and sky people happen. The night before the war, Ney'tiri told Jake and the clan she was pregnant. They were excited but Ney'tiri was ready to be a single mother till Jake showed his worthy to her. Jake lost friends, gain a family, a tribe and now, the newest member was born. A little girl was born after a month and that Jake was fully into his avatar. After a few years Y/N siblings were born and she was the oldest, Neteyam is her best friend. They both were raised to be the lead example but Y/N knew one thing. She was the smallest of her family and she was the runt, runts are consider weak, can only get herbs but Ney'tiri train Y/N herself. Y/N fell in love with the enemy while being kidnapped but it wasn't just her and spider. Spoilers from the second movie.Complete

Day Off
After defeat at SeaDragon, Miles decides he needs a day off. Even a couple. Ardmore will still have time to twist his head off for not being able to control damn kid. He fucked up his relationship with his son. So if he goes back to Bridgehead, it's gonna kill any chance of him talking to his son again. OR Quaritch's initially comedic adventure along the beaches in an attempt to get his son back, but which ends with something more serious. The love line is not the main thing here, it's just there to please me (Quaritch/OC, Spider/Kiri)
