Miles Quaritch failed his first mission to kill Jake Sully. Now, Bridgehead Command has a new mission for him and his surviving recoms, Wainfleet and Mansk. A mission to gather intel and make an alliance with the newly contacted Ash People, a Na'vi clan endemic to a volcanic archipelago. What's at first just orders will slowly come to change the young Colonel's life and his relationship with Pandora, his son, his enemies, and the RDA forever.

Part 1 in the Avatar, A New Mission series.

This large, slow-build story is essentially an Avatar 3 (with heat and flare!) through Miles Quaritch's eyes after the events of the Way of Water and continuing his parallels with Jake Sully. The story really expands to a movie-sized scope as it goes on. Features Miles' existential crisis and also flashbacks to when Spider was with the 1st Recom Unit. Recoms Lyle Wainfleet and Mansk are also greatly developed. Did my best to be logical and reasonable with the in-movies set canon, and sequel foreshadowing. There are a *few* instances of eventual smut, but there are content warnings and it is kindly written to be skippable if that's not your thing! : )All Rights Reserved

Jake Sully and Ney'tiri have formed a family and are doing everything to stay together. However, they must leave their home and explore the regions of Pandora. When an ancient threat resurfaces, Jake must fight a difficult war against the humans. In the beginning of that special night between Jake and Ney'tiri. After a few years Y/N siblings were born and she was the oldest, Neteyam is her best friend. They both were raised to be the lead example but Y/N knew one thing. She was the smallest of her family and she was the runt, runts are consider weak, can only get herbs but Ney'tiri train Y/N herself. Y/N fell in love with the enemy while being kidnapped but it wasn't just her and spider. Spoilers from the second movie.

Parvati always knew Neytiri hated her because of who her 'Father' is but she never cared. Parvati and Mo'at get along since Mo'at trained Parvati on how to fight and heal and much more. Mo'at never had a problem with her and neither did the clan. Parvati loves children; she takes care of the children of the Clan when their parents are busy or need some time for themselves. Her beauty rivals everyone in the Clan. Most would say she is the daughter of Eway but nobody really knows. What happens when Miles and his team of recoms come back and instead of Paravit getting captured alone Lo'ak goes back when she falls and gets captured too? What happens if Jake or Neytiri don't go back for both of them? What happens if Miles and his team start feeling different? What happens if Parvati starts to understand who she is? Commander Miles Quaritch was on a mission to escort some new scientists down to the research facility built on Pandora. Whilst doing so, his ego got the best of him and he got the idea to 'show off his power'. Walking up to the pilot, Commander Quaritch ordered a fire on an area covered by trees. Little did he know, he fired on a small medical lab that was run by a team of humans selected specifically by his higher ups. Once he landed and finished his escort mission, he was ordered to return to base and was put on suspension. Back on Pandora, a human child was the only thing left in the rubble of the destroyed medical lab. Unknown to Commander Quaritch, he had orphaned a two year old little girl, and left her in the ruins surrounded by more than 10 dead bodies. The mother of the child was killed, along with every human she has ever known. Once the child woke up and began to cry, she was so young she couldn't do anything. She knew she was hurt and scared, the bright light from the sun and all the ash falling onto her white skin further frightening her. The two year old was all alone. The forest line next to the medical lab began to make noise as a Thanator began to answer to the baby's cries. The feline-esque creature listened to her maternal instincts and followed the sound of despair. The animal climbed down from the trees and poked her heads out of the leaves, her many eyes finding the source and locking onto the injured infant. This is where the child's story begins... (Parts of the original timeline from the movie has been changed for the story line to work properly)

Her father was a true Na'vi, her mother was from the sky people but adapted and became one of them (like Jake). After being threatened by the sky people, Jake takes his family, including Taneya, with him to seek protection from Metkayina people. That is where Aounung and Taneya meet. Aounung is struck by her beauty. But cannot show it to others, because Taneya is an outcast. How long can Aounung keep his feelings to himself? Does he confess to Taneya and does she feel the same way back?
