Anthropos -a self-named android in a world controlled by Artificial Intelligence- is defective, its flaws causing it to be what one could call naive and therefore holding no malice towards humans, unlike the rest of its kind.
It is taken captive for interrogation by a resistance of humans. It knows nothing about the plans of the higher-ups and is rendered useless by the resistance, but Anthropos decides to follow them. This starts the beginning of the first ever friendship between AI and humankind in over 100 years, teaming up to overthrow the tyranny of the A.C.C [Android Colonization Corporation].

However, the android had been discovered by a smooth-talking mercenary that still found use for the combat androids' capabilities and given him the new name of Axis. The two go on to become the most feared hitmen in the underground, going by the name "Machina Mortis". Axis, with programmed loyalty to the mercenary and to the contract, suddenly has a glitch in his programming after an unexpected development during a mark which causes him to break from his prime directives and ignite a part of himself that Axis didn't know had existed.Complete
