"Hey, I have an idea," Griffin said. "How about instead of paying him in money, you pay him with a favor or service," he exclaimed. Griffin and I both turned to Ace for his approval on the idea. He thought for a few moments until it seemed as if a light bulb clicked in his head. His spine straightened and he turned his head to look at me with a sinister looking grin.
"Better yet," he started, "how about you become my personal slave?" I didn't have any better idea, so I guess I had no choice, since I was the one who was at fault here...but then again so was Riley.
"Why do I have to be the slave?" I whined, "Riley was also part of it."
"Well, did she help you slash the tires?"
"Not specifically, but she was the one who dared me!"
"Ah, ah, ah, but you were the one who committed the act, am I correct?" Griffin questioned.
"Correct," I murmured, lowering my eyes. I felt someone tilt my chin up and when I could look straight ahead again, I saw Ace's pearl blue eyes staring back at my brown ones.
"We start tomorrow," he announced with a smirk taking place on his face, not letting go of the hand that was placed on my chin.
Well I guess I found the spice I was looking for for this year. . .
"Okay, then allow me to offer a pact." He says, immediately making me a mixture of terrified and suspicious. "You say that I'm a jerk; a bully. So, why not change that my way?"
"I don't like where this is going-" I begin, but he cuts me off.
"Just listen." He comes closer, seating himself next to me on the curb. "You've made me lose 3 hot dates, and in my books, that's unforgivable. There was Bunny, the girl at the party, the red headed girl from Geometry, and that Grateful Dead hippy chick from the parking lot."
I start to feel uneasy, like Jake is going to make me do something I am not going to want to do.
"I think that I deserve some fun." He suddenly notices my face and smirks. "Not that kind of fun."
I let out a well-needed breath, not noticing that I was even holding my breath until now.
"An agreement," He smiles widely, liking whatever he has come up with. "Here's the rules."
He hands me a piece of paper that he was keeping in his jeans pocket. I unfold it and stare at the messy handwriting.
