Falen is a 16 year old orphan living in Hope B.C.  She attends Hope secondary school with her cousins Anna(17)and Eric(16). She has two friends and remembers nothing of her parents. Her aunt tells her little to nothing about her mother and Falen doesn't know anything about her father, until... the winter solstice, the darkest day of the year. Falen is pulled into a war she doesn't want to fight with only two people she can trust while an enemy shrouded in darkness schemes on an iron thrown. The final choice was always hers the life she grew up with or the family she craves?

This unexpected change in weather managed to turn my mood around badly. I can't deny that I love rain, but when you have no place to dry up in after enjoying the raindrops as they pelt down against your skin, you can't help but dread the rainy days. But, I guess I'm somewhat lucky, for the rain didn't decide to fall while I was making my way to 'The Heaven'.
