However, things quickly get out of hand as Marnie's lie grows bigger like a black hole, sucking in the lives of the entire vacation resort, Veronica's former babysitter, a sullen acquaintance schoolmate ready to blackmail Marnie, and a secret celebrity with something important to hide.

If Marnie can't keep her lies straight, she'll have to tell the truth, which will ruin her chances of a perfect relationship with Hunter. And worse, Marnie's parents will find out she missed the college application deadline and murder her.
