After the war has ended, Harry finds himself at a loss for what to do with himself. He lived, but what did he live for? Who is Harry without needing to be the chosen one or destined to defeat a great and powerful dark wizard? Who is he without a war?

Draco Malfoy is also asking the big questions in life after the war. Who is he without his father's influence? Does he want forgiveness for his crimes from the war? Who does he want to be? Does he even want to follow in the footsteps of his family history, or is he finally brave enough to carve his own path? 

They both get invited back after a year of rebuilding to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry after reinventing himself to try and stay out of the medias eye returns to try and enjoy life and new things and actually live- its easier said than done. Draco returns as part of his home arrest, not that he's complaining- maybe he can make some thing of it.

This year, however, the returning students are to be resorted, Harry is but Draco is not. This year an entirely different adventure awaits the two men. With an ancient love spell cast on Harry before School the unknown consequences grow steeper as the year goes on, leaving the entire wizarding world on the edge of their brooms for news of their savior.

When the eighth years return to the newly rebuilt Hogwarts to finish their NEWTs, a lot of things have changed. The Wizarding World is finally at peace and the looming threat of Voldemort diminished forever. But there's still a year left to go through. And it's already off to a rocky start. Harry Potter is showered with praise and celebrated as the one who saved the Wizarding World. But with the wounds of the war scarring deep and a heartbreak to handle, he doesn't feel ready to step into the role the world designed for him. A problem Draco Malfoy can only dream of. Spending the summer cut off from the world in his childhood home, the only thing he wants is to flee its tight grasp. Yet, Hogwarts isn't the same it once has been and has nothing to offer for the former Death Eater but cold shoulders and dark corners, where he is supposed to linger unnoticed. But everything changes with a terrible potions mishap that forces them to pretend to be the other. A task already difficult enough, yet they soon find themselves tangled in a web of lies and threats regarding nothing less but the safety of Hogwarts itself. To escape the effects of the potion and solve the mystery of the attacks, they have no choice but to trust the one they had every right to be wary of for the past seven years. Author's Note: This is a slow burn, enemies to lovers, with a lot of angst but a decent amount of fluff too, more of a plot than just the romance and a happy ending (trust me). Relationships are Harry x Draco, Ron x Hermione, and Pansy x Blaise. Updates will be regular because it's all already written out, and I will be publishing on AO3 at the same under the same name. "Mr. Malfoy, where are you going? You just woke up from a great fall after all, I'm sure your friends can come here, instead of you going to them." Who was Malfoy? Oh right, it was probably him. A little bit late, he realised that he should have told her about the complete memory loss since he had no idea where he was going to go once he left the hospital-like room. On second thought, maybe making a scene would have actually been a good idea. Well, it was too late to turn back now. "I will just be going out for a little stroll...around. I must admit that I am in dire need of some fresh air. My, how long did you say I was out for again?" He put his hand to his chest like it was an absolute travesty to have not been told. "I-uh...four days, Mr. Malfoy. You were out for four days." "Well then, I shall be going now. Toodaloo!" Madam Pomfrey stood completely frozen for a long moment like this was the exact opposite of what she expected to happen when Draco woke up. "Mr. Malfoy, wait!" The witch eventually called out, but Draco was already out of the door. Draco wakes up in the hospital wing having no idea who he is and how he got there. Turns out he fell 20 feet down the stairs and got his memory wiped. What else could go wrong? Meeting Harry Potter definitely was fun, but can he figure out who obliviated him and get his memories back? Or will he be stuck like this for the rest of his life?
