On the planet TRAPPIST-1e, renamed ANASTASIA, 117 years away from Earth, the inhabitants are immortal now that the world's leader, Cirrus, an AI machine, solved all problems such as world hunger, economical crisis, diseases, etc. Amber Glane is trained to glean, or kill, her people. Does her path lead towards destruction, or towards something brighter?
(This is a story featuring Neil Shusterman's world in his series Arc of a Scythe. I just added new characters, and the time takes place after the trilogy's last book, The Toll. )
