This story is about a girl on an island along with her tribe. Her father Midus, and sister Meriposa have mysteriously disappeared. Malana is her name. Malana and her new friend are desperately trying to get invaders off the island while, she has a deep secret to hide, that only her oldest sister, Meriposa, and her father know about, of course they're gone.

His voice was gentle, but when he heard the small, muffled sob, his entire body tensed. "Yukti..." The sobbing grew louder. Then, she broke. Her grip on him tightened as she cried-really cried. Her sobs echoed in the silent room, her body trembling against his back. Yuvraj felt something sting in his chest. He slowly turned around, and the sight made his heart clench. Yukti's face was stained with tears, her eyes swollen, her lips quivering. "What happened?" Yuvraj whispered, brushing away the tears on her cheeks.
