Umbridge Meets Her Match [One Off] [Complete]

Jimena González is in her fifth year at Hogwarts, she's spent the last four doing everything to keep her head down, and attached to her body. She's always been introverted by nature, but being Latina in overwhelmingly white Great Britain, and in the even more white wizarding world, has not made her more likely to draw attention to herself. Her quiet nature has made more than a few of her classmates ask if she wasn't supposed to be in Hufflepuff. But when Dolores Umbridge pushes her to a snapping point, no one will ever question her House again.

So I've recently been doing a full re-read of Harry Potter. And watching some of the "If I was at Hogwarts" videos on YouTube and TikTok, and I was playing around with the idea of what OC I would put in Hogwarts. Then I got to the Order of the Phoenix and I lost it at Hagrid's inspection. So here's a one-off of that idea and me venting.

Premise backstory: Jimena grew up with Harry in Little Winging, her parents are both magic but of the opinion that everyone should be able to see the world in multiple perspectives, so they raised her as a muggle but with constant bedtime "fantasy stories" about the wizarding world, that were actually just history books. She got her letter to Hogwarts and they filled her in on this little subterfuge, and about the fact that her best friend in school is actually famous, which was a weird adjustment. But now we're here.
