Malia has been training to be a powerful witch since she was found by feyries during the Dark War. On her 18th birthday, she is supposed to perform a ritual to gain a familiar, a spirit that will lend their power to protect and guide her in her craft. She doesn't have much faith in her abilities, so she is more than surprised when she summons Athan, one of the four princes of Hell as her familiar.
Despite their hatred for each other, they must learn to get along and figure out who or what is unearthing dead bodies and murdering young women before it's too late.
