Sophie wasn't the stereotype of a 'nerdy kid'. She didn't have braces or glasses, she wore her hair down and loved to wear long puffy dresses. But still, she did have friends, a few close ones she hanged out with every so often. But something about her life felt off.
She had always wished she could be in one of the plots of her book and forget about English and maths and tests and her the obvious feeling that her stepfather and her mother would be better off without her. She just wanted to be the center of attention to someone, someone who wasn't a mere mortal who wasn't special at all.
She wanted her fairy tale.
