Meet Fern, Layne, Tommy, Esme, Xander and Neil. All of them are completely crazy about horses – and all hold a close friendship. They live in the quiet village of Hawkerton, the dream place to live for any horse fanatic.
There has been nearly no criminal activity in Hawkerton for several decades, so when various robberies, assaults and kidnaps take place all at the same time, the whole village is stunned. What’s more, Fern begins receiving threatening letters from an anonymous sender, and is black-mailed into keeping her mouth sealed.
After finding some clues that could help her find the assailants, it’s decided that she must solve the mystery herself. But, there’s a problem. She won’t be alone.
