19 year old Athena "Thea" Kanelos' life gets turned upside down when she receives a call saying her father who left her family eight years ago died and left her a sum of his inheritance. She soon finds out that her dad who left an alcoholic and substance abuser had remarried, become a successful CEO, and even started his own rehabilitation program. The only problem is all that happened in the last 3 years, so where did he go the 5 years neither Thea nor his new wife knew anything of his existence?
With only a large check and a box full of letters from her father Thea sets off on a journey to find where exactly he went for the 5 years he was missing and pieces of herself she lost when he left.
