Maija Denton could easily be described in three words. Cold. Stressed. Anti-people.
Her best friend is like a bursting ball of sunshine, attracting people incessantly.
And the only person Maija seems to attract is the idiotic footballer, whose mere presence causes her blood pressure to rise for all the wrong reasons.

With her workaholic parents never home, Maija is under the care of her older brother and self-proclaimed King of parties, Alec. Which wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the strings of girls he invites home, and his unbearable demonic best friend Leo.

Needless to say, Maija's final year of high school becomes a grand mess. In the midst of warding off the demon, maintaining her grades and living with the questions and self-doubts which plague each kid as they prepare to take the world, Maija Denton is the realistic story of an 18 year old who realises how big the world is and how little she is in comparison.
