17 year old Toby Forrest has been deaf his whole life, it's always been a challenge for him. Toby goes to a regular school and only has one best friend who is also deaf. Toby loves his best friend, but he still feels alone.
17 year old Cora Hawking recently has just moved across the country. She doesn't know anyone in the new town. She's quite pretty and gains friends pretty quickly. This doesn't help her though because she still feels out of place.
When these two come together, they become inseparable. They were each the piece each other were missing. Troubles still occur though and problems come in through time. Will everything work out or will the girl he heard disappear?
