ASPIRATION
Love can heal. Love can destroy. And sometimes... it can trap you in a living nightmare. Jeon So-yi's marriage was supposed to be her dream. Instead, it became a silent war--where every touch burns, every moment suffocates, and the man she loves becomes the one she fears the most. Beyond the walls of her prison, a different kind of terror unfolds. The city is drowning in blood. A mysterious killer is hunting down criminals---leaving behind a chilling signature: "XO." To stop the chaos, the case is assigned to the most genius mind of all--Detective Jeon Elvis. A man who sees what others miss. A man who hides more than he reveals. But as secrets begin to unravel, one truth threatens to destroy everything--- In a world where love feels like a curse... and justice wears the face of a monster... [CLOSED] The Undiscovered Gems Competition (UGC) - 2014
Welcome to Undiscovered Gems Competition (UGC)! I love to help writers get a second hand view of their work. I feel that there is so much published work on Wattpad that deserves to be acknowledged but people a) Don't have the time b) Don't read new books with low reads or c) Can't find them. I've read so many undiscovered books here and I usually comment on how to improve and what is done well. I know that new stories may not be continued or people may not have confidence in themselves and sometimes I feel my comments go unnoticed. Therefore, I would have made a competition where undiscovered writers get a chance to be acknowledged through 'The Undiscovered Gems Competition' and get some feedback that they, themselves, are looking for. Good luck and enjoy! xXPersevereXxConcluida![The Vampire King's Mate [Completed]](https://img.wattpad.com/cover/142744604-256-k788477.jpg)
The Vampire King's Mate [Completed]
"What are you doing here?" I gulped at the hoarse voice. Instead of replying, I stared at Maria's corpse lying on the floor. "You smell so sweet." I hear him speak licking his lips. He did next what I was being afraid of, he closed the remaining distance by stepping ahead and held my waist with one of his muscular arm while the other swept the hair to the side exposing my bare neck. I was scared to death. ________________♧♧♧_______________ In a world where humans and the supernaturals lived together, Elina's parents were killed by a mysterious vampire. She never knew why her parents were killed or what the killer wanted but the incident surely changed her perspective on vampires. She never trusted them. Searching for a job leads her to an opportunity to work at the royal palace in the kingdom of Veneton. What she doesn't know is that the king of the kingdom is a vampire and she's the mate he has been searching for centuries. But he doesn't know that Elina is his mate neither does she.... The Standouts - A Critique Contest by PAULAPDX (Summer 2019 Edition)
🛑 - CLOSED until 2021. ***If you're interested in my critiques, you might want to check out my weekly newsletter for opportunities to get a personalized critique. https://paula.substack.com/p/coming-soon Does your work stand out in an overly-crowded landscape? Does your story & writing shine as far as: ★ - Concept ★ - Voice ★ - Storytelling The Standouts is a fun, but hopefully helpful contest that can give you a sense of whether your story resonates with someone who's got some experience under her belt. Great! But who are you to judge? Fair question. This is not to humble-brag, but I've been critiquing and have worked with story development for quite some time, and I've picked up a lot along the way. ☙ - As an Ambassador, I work on content projects. ☙ - If you look at my profile, you'll see everything I've published so far has managed to standout in one way or another, whether by leading me to become a Wattpad Star; or by winning a Watty (twice!); or by being picked as a Top 10 in major Wattpad contests (twice!); or being featured. All I'm saying is I'm no slouch. I'm not brilliant either. But I've got some experience around what can catch an agent, editor, or judge's eye, and I'd like to share that with the community. ☙ - In another lifetime, I used to work for HBO in Development and at ICM (the talent agency) in their writers' department which means I understand how professionals quickly gauge whether or not they'll take a closer look at a work and/or make an offer. This kind of insight can be helpful if you're planning to submit your work or even just want to stand out more here on Wattpad. ☙ - I used to provide critiques for three writers, all of them traditionally published. They seemed to value my insight. Read the RULES, LOGISTICS & PRIZES chapter for guidelines. All entries get a brief assessment of their first chapter, with winners getting more extensive critiques. Sound interesting? Give it a go! 😊Concluida

She said Yes!
"Roses are red , violets are blue ...only if love was true .. !" These are the words she will often write down in her diary pages after pages. During her high school days when she found out that her boyfriend Todd Davis was only with her because of the bet that he made with his friends, Emily suffered a terrible heartbreak and humiliation destroying her faith in love and happy endings. Her relationship status reads" Happily Single, for the rest of my life". When her mother unexpectedly had to retire from her business , Emily is forced to give up her job as a vet to help her older sisters to run their family business. Only a miracle could save them from the debts that the business has and when a business man approached them to help him plan the "Engagement Party of the Year" they could see a light at the end of the tunnel. Emily found herself caught up in the enchanted world of romance and happy endings. Will that make Emily change her mind about love? .................................xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx............................ This book was my first attempt at the OpenNovella contest and it made it through all the rounds . Though it was not a finalist on the long list finalist , I am so proud of what I have achieved. I believe those sort of competitions boosts up your potentials and makes you work to the best of your abilities or even more. Can't wait for another one 😊 Thank you OpenNovella team and most all Thank you for all the reads and comments xoConcluida
