But, at least, it brought a sense of renewal, of an escape from all the horrors they went through and, for the first time in so long, they could finally start to move on. That was, if they ever could. El was gone, both Mike and Will spent years apart healing, lives separate and away from Hawkins and each other without any plans for reconnection. Until, they met again in college. By chance, a mere coincidence. And maybe there they could have another chance, too.
