Fryderyk Chopin.

Arguably the best virtuoso pianist and composer of the Romantic era, and concert pianist Emma Bechstein intends to follow in his footsteps. Her love for Chopin's delicate and beautiful music as well as her intense practicing has been crucial to the building of a very successful musical career. One which has helped her forget all her troubles.

But when a clumsy, self-absorbed journalist, Christopher Kipling, interviews her at the site of Chopin's own piano her barriers instantly go up. He is annoying, arrogant and knows nothing about the one thing which she has built her entire life around. Every moment is more painful than the last.

Yet despite how much she decides to despise him, her love for the music overrides her frustration when Chris stumbles across some very old sheet music in the piano leg. Suddenly, Emma and Chris find themselves accidentally plunged into a world of the composer's secrets.

Together.

In a battle of wits, the art of music and the power of words are joined in a fight to the death and neither Emma nor Chris are likely to back down. But as they journey on to find out more about Chopin's lost prelude, they just might stumble into something else they weren't expecting.

A love story.
